WBCX, "The Voice of Brenau," is the radio station of Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia, broadcasting on 89.1 FM with 840 watts from the Jacobs Business and Communication Arts building on campus. It was founded in 1977, and students and community volunteers produce much of its programming. The schedule mixes classic pop, jazz in the evenings, BBC World News and talk shows, with regular features such as a morning show and a folk hour. For Brenau's communication students, the station is a hands-on training ground in broadcasting.
