This channel from Calm Radio, a Toronto-based streaming service for relaxing and classical music, is devoted to Luigi Cherubini (1760–1842). Born in Florence, Cherubini spent most of his career in Paris, where he became director of the Conservatoire and one of the most respected composers of his time; Beethoven admired him greatly. He is best known for the opera Médée (1797) and for his sacred music, including the Requiem in C minor. Calm Radio runs many single-composer channels – Mozart, Vivaldi, Debussy and others – and a free membership gives access to a selection of its channels.
